News

A vacant house in the 4000 block of Sherman St. is a total loss after a fire early Tuesday morning.

Baton Rouge firefighters say when they arrived on scene the structure was fully engulfed in flames.

We’re told it took crews about 20 minutes to put out the blaze, with the help of BRPD, EMS and Entergy.

Seven total units, four pumpers and one ladder were used to extinguish this fire.

No was hurt in this single family dwelling fire, but crews are searching for the cause of the vacant house fire.
