BRFD looking for information about rash of trash and rubbish fires on Independence Day

BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) – July 4th was a busy day for the Baton Rouge Fire Department and not for good reasons.

Over a 6 hour period ending at midnight, local firefighters put out multiple  trash and rubbish fires at these locations:

  • 16441 S HARRELLS FERRY @2305
  • 12254 LA MARGIE @2253 DUMPSTER
  • 13900 S HARRELLS FERRY @2253 TRASH CAN
  • 650 N ARDENWOOD @2252 DUMPSTER
  • 11140 BOARDWALK @2247 DUMPSTER
  • 5151 HIGHLAND RD @2244 DUMPSTER
  • 10721 CHERRY HILL @2237 DUMPSTER
  • 6875 HARRY @2152 RUBBISH
  • 11585 N HARRELLS FERRY @2127 DUMPSTER
  • 1500 LA ANNIE @2110 SOFA
  • 5665 MCCLELLAND @2028 DUMPSTER
  • 1134 N ARDENWOOD @1826 DUMPSTER
  • 2148 ONEAL @1803 DUMPSTER
  • 2467 BROWNLEE @0030 DUMPSTER
  • 3779 EATON @0044 FURNITURE BY DUMPSTER
  • 3140 N SHERWOOD FOREST @0107 TRASH BY PARK PAVILLION
  • 3330 HARDING BL @0113 DUMPSTER

Investigators believe the fires were set on purpose and anyone who has information about any or all of the fires is encouraged to call 225-354-1419.
