BRFD determines cause of vacant house fire to be arson

BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) – The Baton Rouge Fire Department was called to 3563 Osceola St. on Monday morning.

Upon arrival, firefighters determined it was a working fire and began to fight the blaze.

Specifically, the front of the vacant home was on fire and firefighters successfully prevented the fire from moving to any neighboring homes.

It took firefighters 15 minutes to put the fire out.

BRFD says, “the home is considered a total loss.”

The home was vacant at the time of the blaze and no one was hurt fighting the fire.

BRPD, EMS and Entergy assisted the Baton Rouge Fire Department at the scene.
