BRFD firefighter injured during early morning fire on N 35th St.


BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) – The Baton Rouge Fire Department is investigating an early morning fire at 1170 North 35 St.

This is not the first time that firefighters have made their way to this area.

The home in the middle has the most damage and was put out on Wednesday, September 2.

Fire investigators determined the cause that fire to be arson.

A call came in about a working fire in the same area around 4:45 a.m. on Friday morning.

Fire investigators found that two more homes, one to the right, and the other to the left of the Wednesday fire needed to be put out. 

The home to the left is a duplex and a total of six people escaped unharmed before firefighters arrived on scene.

The Red Cross is being called to assist the affected residents and damages have yet to be determined in this case.
