BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) – The Baton Rouge Fire Department is investigating a building collapse at 3457 North St.
Firefighters arrived around 4:15 p.m. and found “the front half of the building collapsed but the rest was still standing,” according to the Baton Rouge Fire Department.
According to the building owner, no one had been in the building since the inception of COVID-19.
A search dog was used to scan the building for any people but no one was found.
The building was taken down while the fire department observed on scene.
Investigators are still working to figure out why the building collapsed on Sunday afternoon.
