BATON ROUGE, La (BRPROUD)- Baton Rouge General Pennington Cancer Center (BRG) and the Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center latest partnership agreement, immediately enhances cancer care resources for patients in the Baton Rouge area.
The partnership makes getting care more accessible for cancer patients— to receive the highest quality care closer to their homes, cancer prevention, treatments, and early detection. Patients can choose to receive care at BRG or Mary Bird Perkins, according to BRG.
“Baton Rouge General’s commitment to cancer care aligns with Mary Bird Perkins’ mission to improve survivorship and lessen the burden of cancer, so we are excited to be a part of their medical community,” said, Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center, Todd Stevens, president and CEO. “This is a collaborative relationship that extends existing physical, technological and professional resources.”
Both organizations also remains independent but—collaborates on technology, clinical programs including; clinical trials, nutrition, rehabilitation, support, groups, medical oncology and more.
