Baton Rouge, La (BRPROUD) Baton Rouge Police Chief Murphy Paul will meet, Wednesday, with President Joe Biden and other stakeholders to address crime, safety and prevention.

Paul is one of seven leaders from across the country who will meet at the White House with President Biden and Attorney General Merrick Garland to discuss ways the Biden-Harris administration is acting to keep cities and neighborhoods safe.

The meeting comes as Baton Rouge continues to see a crime wave resulting in homicide numbers that put the city on pace to break 2020’s record homicide rate. President Biden is also expected to release new details of his administration’s plan to address crime nationwide.

Wednesday’s meeting is expected to start around 1:15 p.m. local time.
