BATON ROUGE, La. (BRProud)– The Baton Rouge Police Department is hosting National Night Out Against Crime to help bridge the gap between the community and law enforcement.

National Night Out Against Crime has proven to be an effective and enjoyable event to promote neighborhood spirit and positive community service partnerships in our fight for safer communities. This community event has been enjoyed by all ages for several years.

Bring the kids and learn about crime prevention. An estimated 70 vendors will be out to bring fun, gifts and free food. Attendees will learn fire safety with the fire departments inter-active fire house, see police K-9 demonstrations. Live entertainment will be provided by The Chris LeBlanc Band and Kenny Neal and Family.

National Night Out will be held Tuesday, August 2nd from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. at BRPD Headquarters, 9000 Airline Highway. Parking will be provided in the garage.
