BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) – On Wednesday, the Baton Rouge Police Department was called to the scene of a deadly shooting at 1161 N 40th St.
The shooting happened at approximately 7:45 a.m. and took the life of Trenton Jones, of Belle Rose.
According to the Baton Rouge Police Department, Jones “was found suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.”
The 26-year-old shooting victim died at the scene.
The investigation into this deadly shooting remains open.
