BRPD identifies teenager killed in shooting on Lobdell Ave.

BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) – The Baton Rouge Police Department responded to a reported shooting in a gas station parking lot on Sunday afternoon.

Officers arrived at the Save More Market on Lobdell Ave. and found a teenager who had sustained gunshot wounds.

At approximately 2 p.m., 14-year-old Dion Williams was found “in the parking lot of the aforementioned address suffering from apparent gunshot wounds,” according to the Baton Rouge Police Department.

The teenager died later at a local hospital.

The investigation into this deadly shooting remains open.
