BATON ROUGE, La (BRPROUD) Baton Rouge Police Traffic Homicide Investigators are investigating a fatal crash with three cars that happened Saturday morning around 12:30 a.m. on the 8000 block on Florida Blvd.
The fatal crash involved a 2012 Nissan Altima, a 2014 Mercedes GL550 and a 2006 Ford F150.
According to an official police report, the Mercedes was stopped at a red light behind the Ford on Florida Blvd. and Wooddale Blvd. While waiting for the light to change to green, the Nissan struck the rear of the Mercedes which caused a collision with the Ford.
27-year-old Cory Jackson, the driver of the Nissan, died from his injuries at a local hospital. Investigators believe he did not have his seatbelt on.
The drivers of the Ford and Mercedes have minor injuries.
This investigation is ongoing.
