BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) – The Baton Rouge Fire Department was called to a travel trailer fire overnight.
Firefighters arrived at 3515 Alliquipa St. around 1:10 a.m. and immediately went to work putting the fire out.
According to the Baton Rouge Fire Department, “they were able to extinguish the fire before it could spread to neighboring homes.”
Firefighters used seven total units, four pumpers and one ladder to put the fire out in approximately ten minutes.
BRFD says, “neighbors told firefighters that it had been vacant for two years.”
The vacant home sustained $5,000 in damages and is considered a total loss.
Fire investigators are still working to determine what started the fire.
EMS and BRPD assisted the Baton Rouge Fire Department at the scene.
