The Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office arrested a 15-year veteran of the Baton Rouge Police Department on stalking allegations.

Jeremy Kirst, 36, faces one stalking charge after LPSO deputies were called to the same Denham Springs home three times for disturbances involving the same couple, according to LPSO spokesperson Lori Steele.

Livingston Parish Sheriff Jason Ard said those incidents happened in September, December and January.

A verbal argument was reported in September, and when LPSO returned to the home in December, Kirst was told to stop contacting and harassing a female at the residence. On Jan. 3, Kirst refused to leave the residence and used his vehicle to block the home’s driveway, Ard said.

Kirst was placed on administrative leave.
