BRPD releases identity of person killed in Baton Rouge barber shop shooting

BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — The Baton Rouge Police Department has revealed the identity of the man killed in Thursday night’s shooting inside a barber shop at 2045 N. Foster Drive.

Louis Williams, 35, of Toulon Drive, died at the scene.

Three others were shot and transported to a local hospital with serious injuries.

All four victims were shot inside Mitchell Tax and Barber Shop around 7 p.m., according to BRPD spokesperson Sgt. L’Jean Mckneely Jr.

There are no suspects at this time, and the motive is unknown.
