BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) – A fire occurred at a second tire shop in Baton Rouge overnight.
Exactly one hour and twenty minutes after being called to a fire at a tire shop on Plank Rd., BRFD responded to another fire at a tire shop.
A little after 2 p.m., firefighters noticed “smoke coming from behind” the AAA Tire Shop, according to the Baton Rouge Fire Department.
Firefighters were on the way to a separate fire when this fire was discovered.
BRFD says, “the fire was started in a storage trailer in the rear of the building.”
Seven total units, four pumpers and one ladder were used to put this fire out.
BRPD and EMS assisted the Baton Rouge Fire Department at the scene.
The AAA Tire Shop is located at 6160 Airline Hwy.
Fire investigators are still working to determine what caused the fire.
