BRPD: Second suspect in murder of 18-year-old apprehended on Saturday

The Baton Rouge Police Department with the help of the Louisiana State Police Task Force were able to apprehend 30-year old Edward Charles Brooks on Saturday morning. According to the East Feliciana Parish Sheriff’s Department, an investigation into the death of 18-year-old Timothy Daniels “linked Jesse James Schiele, 24045 Hwy 67/Zachary, La. B/M, and Edward Charles Brooks, 30, B/M, as suspects.”

Brooks was taken into custody with the help of a Crimestoppers tip. 

The 30-year old suspect has been booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison. 

The East Feliciana Parish Sheriff’s Department noted prior to the capture of both individuals that “investigators have obtained an arrest warrant for Schiele and Brooks for Second Degree Murder.”
