Carla Pesono joined Local 33 News Today as the Morning Weather Anchor in September 2015. Previously, she worked at the Nexstar station in Joplin, Missouri as the Morning-Co Anchor/Weather/Reporter. While in Joplin, Carla received two Kansas Association of Broadcasters (KAB) awards for journalism. She is originally from Buffalo, NY and studied Broadcast Journalism for TV at Columbia College in Chicago. Carla is happy to be living in Southeast Louisiana to experience the culture and food. She loves fitness, cooking and playing with her dog, Teddy.
