Cases of water and food boxes available on Labor Day in Ascension Parish

DONALDSONVILLE, La. (BRPROUD) – The Ascension Parish Government is working with the Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank to get free food and water out to residents recovering from Hurricane Ida.

The distribution event is happening on Monday, September 6 at the Frank Sotile Jr. Pavilion.

According to the Ascension Parish Government, “The Food Bank is delivering 1500 cases of water and 1500 boxes of non-perishable food.”

The distribution event starts at 11 a.m.

The Ascension Parish Government emphasizes that this event is being held “on a first come-first served basis, while supplies last.”

The Frank Sotile Jr. Pavilion is located at 2162 Thibaut Dr.
