BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) – As the Monday through Friday grind inches closer to the weekend, a delectable National Holiday gives fans of Tex-Mex flavors a reason to celebrate.
Thursday, August 18 marks National Fajita Day.
The odd holiday was founded by On the Border Mexican Grill & Cantina in 2016.
Those who choose to observe National Fajita Day can do so by visiting their favorite restaurant and indulging in the celebrated Mexican inspired dish.
In fact, in honor of the holiday, Chili’s is offering a Mix & Match Fajita’s Special for $11.99.
Three of Baton Rouge’s most popular Tex-Mex restaurants also have fajitas on their menu.
According to Yelp, those restaurants are:
11333 Coursey Blvd, Baton Rouge, LA 70816
7333 Highland Rd, Baton Rouge, LA 70808
5435 Government St, Baton Rouge, LA 70806
3155 Perkins Rd, Baton Rouge, LA 70808
Fortunately, even if you’re reading this article well after National Fajita Day has passed, you can still enjoy a great fajita or other Tex-Mex meal from any of the eateries listed above.
