Cellphone data shows parts of Louisiana still not adhering to stay at home order

NEW ORLEANS (WDSU) —

Gov. John Bel Edwards said Louisiana is using cellphone data to track communities and if they are adhering to social distancing guidelines.

Edwards said parts of the state still need to do better at complying with the stay-at-home order that’s in place through the rest of April.

The governor said the New Orleans region is doing better at adhering to social distancing guidelines. Louisiana residents have been instructed to only leave their homes for essential activities.
