Central Police Department ramping up “enforcement of low speed and ATV use on public roads”

News

CENTRAL, La. (BRPROUD) – A debate is raging in one Louisiana city and it has to do with riding gulf carts and ATV’s on public roads.

A recent ATV crash and subsequent complaints from citizens is prompting the Central Police Department to take action.

CPD posted this message on Facebook and included in it is the question, “Did you know that under most circumstances it is against Louisiana law to operate a gulf cart on a public street?”

This question remains as part of the debate, should the law be changed or should it remain the same in the interest of safety?
