Oh Deer! It was recently a dog and deer world for a brief moment in Folsom.

So this is Marley & Me come to life, right here in Louisiana.

Some Folsom residents may have seen Retired Fire Chief David Pittman take Marley the Fire Dog for his nightly walk.

Marley is friendly and has no problem greeting anyone who walks by them.

On Thursday, something different happened to the retired fire chief and fire dog.

According to the Goodbee Fire Department, St. Tammany Fire District #13, “a baby deer stopped and greeted Marley and Chief Pittman.”

The meeting was short-lived as a hello and nose lick were followed by both animals going back to what they were doing before.
