Charter School Leader Mardele Early to receive Terrel H. Bell Award.

NEW ORLEANS, La (BRPROUD)- Lake Forrest Charter School Leader and Founder Mardele Early has been awarded the Terrel H. Bell Award granted by the U.S Department of Education for outstanding leadership for the 2021 school year. The news was announced in a press release Tuesday, November 2.

Lake Forrest Elementary School has also been awarded the 2021 National Blue Ribbons based on overall academic achievements, leadership and closing educational gaps.

The Bell Award ceremony will be held on Thursday, November 4 between noon to 1:45 p.m. CST and 1:00 p.m. EST, located at the Gaylord National Resort And Convention Center in Washington, D.C

The Bell Award is a lifetime achievement award for transforming local public schooling. Early founded Lake Forrest Charter School in 2001.
