HAMMOND, La. (WDSU) — Local leaders in Tangipahoa Parish have partnered with North Oaks Health System to distribute free floor decals to businesses that need them.
The decals remind customers and employees to maintain social distancing by standing 6 feet apart.
Business owners can pick up the decals from the Greater Hammond Chamber of Commerce by first calling 985-345-4457.
“We have been focusing on reopening the economy and businesses reopening, coming back and wanting to do everything the right way,” said Ginger Cangelosi, the economic development director for the parish.
Cangelosi said partnering with North Oaks Health System was an easy decision because of its continued commitment to the community during the coronavirus pandemic.
“We really work hard at supporting one another,” said Tracy Randazzo, with North Oaks Health System. “They’re proving quite popular because I think people want to get back to business, but they want to get back to business safely.”
