Update: The East Baton Rouge Parish Coroner’s Office has confirmed the death of 3-year-old Amir Antoine, who was shot in the head Saturday just before noon.
The child passed away at a hospital on Saturday. The death has been ruled an accident due to a self-inflicted gunshot.

A 3-year-old was shot just before noon Saturday in the 1900 block of Birch Street in Baton Rouge, the Baton Rouge Police Department confirmed.
