Hundreds of residents in baker were in the Christmas spirit Saturday for the annual Christmas in the Park.
There were activities for those of all ages, including breakfast with Santa, lots and lots of food and even a bike giveaway.
“We started this morning with breakfast. We had over 250 kids and everyone, each one of them, received a gift from Santa. Every last one of them, they’re so excited,” said Diana Clay, program director for the City of Baker.
“They bring people together and that’s exactly what we need after the flood. We need to come together, but we need to come together, not for the adults all the time, but for the kids,” said Darnell DA-1 Waites, mayor of the City of Baker.
Sadly, the parade was canceled because of the rain, but organizers moved things inside so people could still enjoy the fun.
