City of Central hosting first ever ‘Restaurant Week’

If you’re looking for some good eating, head out to Central as they kicked off their first ever ‘Restaurant Week.’

Central Chamber of Commerce President, Ron Erickson, says the idea came about after talking to restaurant owners who said things have been moving slow especially after the 2016 flood as those in the area are still recovering.

Each participating restaurant will provide special menus for the week.   Many of them will have special offers involving appetizer, entrée and dessert.

A total of 12 restaurants are participating this year including Buddy’s BBQ and the owner, Mickey Watson, is looking forward to bringing in new customers.

“A lot of people here work in Baton Rouge and they may stay in Baton Rouge to eat, but we’re trying to invite them to come back and give us all a shot, so it’s good stuff,” Watson says.

Special offers will end on August 25th.
