Closures in the area due to Tropical Depression Cristobal


BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) – Tropical Storm Cristobal is currently over the Louisiana-Mississippi state line.

Wind gusts are up to 45 mph and viewers should expect more rain on Monday.

With that in mind, many local institutions have changed their schedules or closed all together on June 8 and June 9.

A list of those closures can be found below:

  • LSU Campus closed on June 8
  • Southern University’s Baton Rouge campuses closed on June 8
  • City-Parish Buildings Closed on June 8
  • EBR schools and office sites are closed on June 8
  • CareSouth COVID-19 drive -thru community testing closed June 8-9 
  • 19th Judicial District Courthouse Closed on June 8
  • East Baton Rouge Parish Clerk of Court’s Office is closed on June 8
  • Baton Rouge City Court closed on June 8
  • EBR Council on Aging Senior Center Drive-Thru Closed on June 8
  • BREC closing all facilities on June 8
  • EBRP Library: All locations closed on June 8.
  • City of Baker Public Buildings Closed on June 8
  • Baker City Court closed on June 8
  • Ascension Parish closes boat launches
