BATON ROUGE, La (BRPROUD) – The 70th annual Cortana Kiwanis Christmas Parade is back again to ring in the holidays in downtown Baton Rouge on Saturday, Dec. 11. Battle of the Bands starts at 4 PM, featuring talented marching bands from the Baton Rouge area!

The event is free for everyone to enjoy. The Christmas parade celebration is a great way to connect with the community. Typically the parade includes about 80 entries. These entries are a mix of marching bands, celebrities, dance troupes, non-profit organizations, and local businesses in seasonal themes, according to the website.

Every year, more than 80,000 people watch the parade live and thousands more enjoy it on television through the holiday season. Last year the event was canceled due to COVID-19 related health concerns.
