Crews continue work to remove debris from fiery crash on bridge

Louisiana State Police say a fiery tanker crash caused a chain reaction involving four 18-wheelers, taking the life of Florida man, Christopher McGee.
The accident happened late Monday near Whiskey Bay in St. Martin Parish, at the Atchafalaya Basin. The crash has closed i-10 Westbound for more than 24 hours as hazmat crews continue their work to clean up the spill.


Rodney Mallett LA DOTD “We are going to try to open it up after we get the inspection done and it all depends on how long it takes the emergency responders to clean up that area.” says Department of Transportation Spokesperson, Rodney Mallett.
