BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — The East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office arrested a man accused of sending child pornography and sexual images of himself to underage girls on social media.

According to EBRSO, in late December 2022, the Louisiana Bureau of Investigation Cyber Crime Unit received a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children that was reported by Snapchat. The tip contained a video of possible child sexual abuse.

Upon receiving the tip, authorities learned a video containing child pornography was uploaded to Snapchat on Oct. 27, 2022. Officials said the IP address associated with the video was connected to Kenneth Allen Jr., 37, of Baton Rouge.

Through a search warrant for Snapchat, officials found a chat with a female minor. In the chat, detectives found explicit images of Allen, EBRSO said. Multiple chats were reportedly discovered involving Allen and girls younger than 18. Investigators said he would lie about his age to the victims and send sexually explicit images, even after the minors said they didn’t want to see them.

Allen was arrested Feb. 9 on three counts of pornography involving juveniles (distribution), one count of indecent behavior with juveniles and a count of pornography with juveniles (possession).
