BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — Baton Rouge police identified the man killed in a Tuesday afternoon shooting near North Foster Drive.
Christopher Jackson, 35, was shot to death around 3:30 p.m. in the 4600 block of Wilmot Street during a fight with another man, according to the Baton Rouge Police Department. Jackson died at the scene and the man was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Police said an investigation into this shooting is ongoing.

Mayor-President Sharon Weston Broome said she was “disturbed and saddened by the recent acts of gun violence” in a statement on Monday.
