BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) – William Hunter Davis, 35, of Denham Springs will be spending 292 months behind bars after he was found guilty of production of child pornography.
A judge issued the sentence and “described Davis’s conduct as ‘heinous,’” according to the U.S. Department of Justice.
DOJ said Davis admitted to recording videos of himself engaged in sexually explicit conduct with a six-year-old child. Officials said these recordings took place over a 17-month period starting on January 1, 2020.
An investigation was conducted by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office.
When Davis is done serving his sentence, he will have to register as a sex offender for life and be under supervised release for five years.
U. S. Attorney Gathe stated, “The efforts of the FBI and Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office
cannot be praised enough. Their hard work in helping bring this defendant to justice defines the
Project Safe Childhood Initiative. With this sentence, child sex predators are put on notice that this type of offense will not be tolerated in the Middle District of Louisiana.”
