ADDIS, La. (BRPROUD) – A lieutenant with the East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office was arrested over the weekend.

The Addis Police Department was called to a reported domestic incident around 10:10 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 17. The address was on Stonewall Drive in the Sugar Mill Plantation subdivision.

The victim in this case “stated that her wife, Kimberly Williams was punching her while in route home from a party,” according to the Addis Police Department.

Addis PD said the victim was able to escape the vehicle and “fled on foot upon arriving at home.”

That is when the victim called the Addis Police Department and EBRSO became involved in this case.

The victim reportedly said that “Kimberly Williams was leaving the residence in a marked EBRSO unit assigned to her,” according to Addis PD.

EBRSO confirmed that Kimberly Williams has been an EBRSO employee for 15 years.

Williams works in recruiting and “is currently on administrative leave pending review,” according to EBRSO.

EBRSO was able to find Williams, and the deputy came back to Addis.

Williams was questioned and subsequently arrested by Addis PD.

Addis PD said, “Physical evidence was consistent with the victim’s statement.”

Williams is charged with domestic abuse battery.
