BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) – A monthslong investigation including multiple local law enforcement agencies ended the arrest of Jarod Harvey, 36.

EBRSO Narcotics led the investigation which included “controlled” drug transactions with Harvey. Fentanyl and cocaine were reportedly bought during these recorded exchanges.

At the conclusion of the investigation, Harvey was arrested by EBRSO Narcotics and the Baton Rouge DEA task force. A search was subsequently conducted of a home in the 1500 block of Lake Calais Street.

These items were reportedly found during the search:

  • 3.2 ounces of fentanyl (street value $7,200).
  • 475 fentanyl pills (street value $14,250).
  • ½ pound of cocaine (street value $8,000).
  • 25 grams of crack cocaine.
  • ½ pound of methamphetamine (street value $2,800).
  • ½ pound of marijuana.
  • 52 dosage units of oxycodone.
  • 10 dosage units of hydrocodone.
  • 70 dosage units of Xanax.
  • $3,151 (pending seizure).
  • Smith & Wesson handgun (9mm).
  • Bersa handgun (9mm).
  • SCCY handgun (9mm).
  • Browning handgun (.32 cal).
  • Taurus handgun (.357 mag).
  • Masterpiece Arms handgun (9mm).
  • American Tactical AR pistol (.223 cal).

EBRSO said Louisiana Department of Children & Family Services was contacted after “two children were present in the residence where the bulk of the narcotics were located.”

On Tuesday, Harvey was booked on charges of: distribution of fentanyl (2 counts/affidavit warrant), distribution of cocaine (2 counts/affidavit warrant), Distribution of Schedule I (marijuana), Distribution of Schedule II (fentanyl), Distribution of Schedule II (cocaine), Distribution of Schedule II (methamphetamine), Distribution of Schedule II (crack cocaine), Distribution of Schedule II (alprazolam), Distribution of Schedule II (oxycodone), Distribution of Schedule II (hydrocodone), Distribution of Schedule II (tramadol), Distribution of Schedule II (clonazepam), Illegal Carry of Weapons with Controlled Dangerous Substances, Distribution of Controlled Dangerous Substances in Presence of Minor and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. He also had a bench warrant.
