(BRPROUD) – An investigation into an alleged drug dealer led to the seizure of around 6.45 grams of cocaine, 7.59 grams of crack cocaine, 41.43 grams of methamphetamine and 99.49 grams of marijuana in Iberville Parish. The investigation centered around Traveon Hawkins, 30, of Maringouin.

IPSO said this is not the first time that Hawkins has been arrested by deputies. According to Iberville Parish Sheriff Brett Stassi, Hawkins was arrested previously on drug charges and other felonies.
The Iberville Parish Sheriff’s Office provided a picture of the items that were seized after the most recent arrest of Hawkins:
Hawkins was booked into the Iberville Parish Jail and subsequently bonded out after posting $90,000.
The Maringouin Police Department worked with the Iberville Parish Sheriff’s Office on this case.
Stassi said they “will continue to go after drugs and drug dealers because of the influx of fentanyl into every type of drug being sold in the parish.”
