PRAIRIEVILLE, La. (BRPROUD) – A man wanted in connection with a deadly shooting last year was charged after turning himself in to authorities. Kayden Joseph Killian, 20, of St. Amant was taken to the Ascension Parish Jail and charged with these crimes:
- Second-degree murder
- Attempted armed robbery
- Criminal conspiracy/armed robbery
- Possession of fentanyl
- Possession of clonazolam
- Possession of marijuana
Travis Richardson Jr., 19, was shot and killed on October 25, 2022. The deadly shooting took place on John Broussard Road. Richardson and Killian were both struck by bullets after allegedly trying to rob a man at a home on that street. That man was charged with possession with intent to distribute marijuana and illegal carry of weapons, according to the Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office.
