Update: According to the Baton Rouge Police Department, both suspects accused of a Monday armed robbery turned shooting in the Tigerland area have been identified and arrested.

Mouises Johnson, 33, and Laqeisha George, 34, were arrested Jan. 5 for their alleged involvement in the robbery and shooting of a female victim.

Both arrestees were booked into East Baton Rouge Parish Prison on charges of armed robbery and attempted first-degree murder. Johnson also was charged with illegal use of a weapon and violation of a protective order.

BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — Baton Rouge police are looking for two suspects accused of an armed robbery turned shooting in the Tigerland area.

Police said the suspects followed the robbery victim after getting off of a CATS bus on Monday, Jan. 2. The incident reportedly occurred on Jim Taylor Drive near Tigerland Apartments.

The male suspect reportedly showed a handgun, demanded money and shot the victim. Police say the woman was shot in the leg and is expected to recover from the injury.

Both suspects were seen running north through Tigerland after the incident, police said.
