Student make their own headbands in support of Demario Davis (WDSU)

NEW ORLEANS, La. (WDSU) —

New Orleans Saints linebacker Demario Davis has won an appeal against the NFL and will not be fined $7,017 for wearing a “Man of God” headband in recent games.

The league said the headband violated uniform policy, but backed off a fine when Davis appealed.

Also, to show support for Demario Davis, students at St. Louis King of France Catholic School posted photos wearing “Children of God” headbands.

Davis wears his “Man of God” headband during games to bring awareness to fundraising for St. Dominick’s Hospital.

The school supported Davis’ mission and posted their support on Facebook with photos of their handmade headbands:

Saints fans are also giving Davis their support by spearheading events to get fans wearing headbands to games.
