DENHAM SPRINGS, La. (BRPROUD) – Firefighters with Livingston Parish Fire District #4 were called to a fire at a mobile home on Tuesday, October 18.

The fire took place in the 33000 block of Highway 1019.

“Upon arrival, firefighters learned a man and a woman were in the home at the time of the fire but both were able to escape,” according to the Louisiana Office of State Fire Marshal.

The duo allegedly got into a domestic dispute prior to the fire.

The man was identified as Keith Mitchell, 46, of Denham Springs.

Mitchell is accused of starting the mobile home fire during the domestic dispute.

“Deputies determined the fire began in a bedroom and was intentionally set,” according to the Louisiana Office of State Fire Marshal.

Mitchell was booked into the Livingston Parish Jail the day after the fire took place.

The Denham Springs man remains behind bars and faces one count of Aggravated Arson.
