BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) – A 29-year-old Baton Rouge man is behind bars this Halloween as a suspect in a domestic abuse case.

According to deputies with the East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office (EBRSO) Cedron Black is accused of arming himself with an AK47 assault rifle after a verbal spat with his girlfriend took a turn for the worse.

An official report regarding the incident says when deputies were called to the scene, the woman told them Black threatened her by pointing the weapon at her.

But, deputies say Black denied her claim and insisted he didn’t even have an AK47.

According to the report, shortly after this denial, deputies discovered both an AK47 and 40 grams of marijuana in a vehicle that Black appeared to be using.

He was arrested and booked into East Baton Rouge Parish Prison on charges that include domestic abuse aggravated assault, aggravated assault with a firearm, illegal carrying of weapons and possession of marijuana.
