BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) – Deputies responded to an incident involving a weapon near the Walmart at Cortana Place Sunday evening, authorities said.

According to the East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office, it was around 4 p.m. when a deputy who was working extra duty detail at the supercenter responded to a report that shots had been fired outside near the building.

The sheriff’s office said the deputy found a window shattered but no one was injured.

EBRSO said a suspect was apprehended, a weapon was discovered and charges are forthcoming.
