Detectives looking for 2 men they say stole debit card, bought items with it

East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff’s Detectives are looking for two men they said broke into a car, stole a debit card and used it to buy items.

Detectives said in reports, a woman reported that her purse was stolen from an unlocked vehicle in the 11000 block of Ericson Avenue on July 4, 2019.

The reports go on to say the stolen purse contained the woman’s identification cards along with a bank debit card. Two men were later captured on surveillance video at a local Walmart attempting to use the stolen debit card to purchase merchandise.

Anyone with information concerning this incident or the identity of the suspect is asked to contact the East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office at 225-389-5064.
