BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) – One of the world’s most famous former LSU Tigers has published a new cookbook.

Shaquille O’Neal, a talented cultural icon with a seemingly endless number of business ventures, published Shaq’s family style in April of 2022, and this week the East Baton Rouge Parish Library reminded locals that they can support the former Tiger by checking out his book.

According to EBR Library, the 50-year-old former professional basketball player, actor, and sports analyst shares 80 low-stress comfort food recipes in his new cookbook.

EBR Library said its staff highly recommends O’Neal’s recipe for Southern-Style Turkey Chili with Cheddar Cornbread Waffles.

This isn’t O’Neal’s first stint in the food industry. The NBA Hall of Famer also owns a chain of chicken joints called Big Chicken.

The restaurant serves fried chicken tenders, sliders, and milkshakes.

Louisiana’s first Big Chicken location is expected to open by the Spring of 2023 in The Hollywood Casino at 1717 River Road in North Baton Rouge.
