News

The Louisiana DOTD will hold two public hearings for the I-10 widening project in East and West Baton Rouge Parishes that, if approved, will add another lane in each direction on I-10 from La. 415 to Essen Lane.

The first hearing will be on Tuesday from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the West Baton Rouge Conference Center located at 2750 N. Westport Drive in Port Allen.

The second hearing will be on Wednesday from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Baton Rouge Marriott located at 5500 Hilton Ave. in Baton Rouge, and the same information will be presented at both meetings.

There will be a prerecorded presentation of information relating to the location, the design features, the project’s impact, the tentative building schedule, the acquisition of right-of-way and relocation assistance. The presentation will play continuously during the forums.

Representatives from the DOTD and the project team will be available to answer questions about the proposed project, and attendees can make on-the-record public statements during the last hour of the meetings.

Oral and written comments on the project can be submitted at the public hearing or sent via mail to Franklin Associates, I-10 BR: Stage 1, 2148 Government St., Baton Rouge, LA 70806. Comments can also be emailed to info@i10br.com.

Written statements and other exhibits in lieu of or in addition to oral statements made at the public hearing must be submitted and postmarked no later than December 3 to be included in the hearing transcript.
