BRUSLY, La. (BRPROUD) – A recent multi-agency investigation in West Baton Rouge Parish led to the arrest of three people and the seizure of a large amount of firearms and drugs.

It all started when a man named Larry Barker called in a burglary.

The ensuing investigation led to the arrest of Larry Barker and two others.

Melissa Barker, Larry Barker, Joshua Vasquez were all arrested and booked into the West Baton Rouge Parish Jail.

All three were arrested at their respective homes.

Two homes were searched during this investigation.

Brusly and West Baton Rouge Narcotics all played a part in this investigation.

Both assisted with the search of homes located on Allen St. and Pauls Ln. in Brusly.

  • 144 LSD Hits
  • 18 pounds of Marijuana
  • 13 pounds of THC edibles
  • 137 Jars of THC Wax
  • 111 THC Vapes
  • 4 Bottles THC Liquid
  • 2 Syringes of THC
  • 2 bottles of THC pills
  • 134 Marijuana cigarettes
  • 1 Sheet THC Wax
  • 3 pounds of Mushrooms
  • 1 Live Marijuana Plant
  • 2 Greenhouses

The Brusly Police Department has this message for parents, “Most of what was seized looks a lot like normal everyday candy that is sold in stores. Parents need to check what there children have closely to ensure they are not using illegal substances.”
