BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) – The East Baton Rouge Council on Aging announced it will have another drive-thru food pantry for seniors in East Baton Rouge Parish to utilize.
The new pantry will be open Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at Coppermill Elementary School, located at 1300 Independence Blvd. Zachary.
“Seniors should drive up to Coppermill Elementary School, pop their trunk, and an EBRCOA staff member will place their groceries, lunch, and supplies into their vehicle,” An EBRCOA news release reads. “The EBRCOA will distribute bags of groceries, gallons of milk donated by Borden’s Dairy, fresh fruit and vegetables, face masks, hand sanitizer, and toilet paper, while supplies last.”
