The East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office Community Policing Unit partnered with Target to host the annual Shop with a Cop event Tuesday morning at the Millerville Target location.
Deputies shopped with 10 children who were nominated based on need to participate in the event by their schools, according to Casey Rayborn Hicks of EBRSO.
Target started the Shop with a Cop program as a way to build a positive relationship between law enforcement and the children in the community, Hicks wrote.
