EBR announces food delivery program for upcoming school year

BATON ROUGE, La (BRPROUD) The East Baton Rouge Parish School System has announced a food delivery program for the 2021-2022 school year starting Friday, Aug. 13. Pre-packaged meal boxes will be available for any child, 18 and under, in the classroom or virtually learning.

The meal provider is Focus Foods, a full service vendor with a mission to provide nutritious packaged meals along with snacks, fruits, milk and juices. The beverages don’t require refrigeration. Focus Foods will distribute meal boxes to families in the East Baton Rouge Parish so students can focus on learning and parents can manage other things throughout the week.

For families that are unregistered for home delivery, pick-up is Tuesday through Saturday from 11:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the locations listed below:

  • Glen Oaks Middle School (5959 Cadillac St, Baton Rouge, La)
  • Broadmoor Middle School (1225 Sharp Rd, Baton Rouge, La)
  • St. Pious X School (6380 Hooper Rd, Baton Rouge, La)
  • Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic School (2251 Main St, Baton Rouge, La)
