20 people have now died due to the coronavirus in East Baton Rouge Parish.
Four more people have died in the last 24 hours.
A second Woodville, MS. resident has died in the parish due to COVID-19.
The ages of the latest victims ranged from 34 to 94.
East Baton Rouge Parish Coroner, William “Beau” Clark, released the details of the most recent deaths below:
During the last 24 hours, my office has investigated the deaths of three East Baton Rouge Parish residents, and one resident of Woodville, Ms, who each tested positive for the COVID19 virus during their course of treatment.
East Baton Rouge Parish residents:
A 34 year old male, who was admitted to an area hospital on 3/15/2020. He died on 4/1/2020.
A 64 year old male, who was admitted to an area hospital on 3/26/2020. He died on 4/1/2020.
A 94 year old male, who was admitted to an area hospital on 3/20/2020. He died on 4/1/2020.
Woodville, Mississippi resident:
A 72 year old female, who was admitted to an area hospital 3/23/2020. She died on 4/1/2020
Each of the above patients had co-morbidities present
This brings our COVID19 related confirmed deaths to 18 East Baton Rouge Parish residents, and 2 deaths of out of state residents (both from the Woodville, MS area) at Baton Rouge area hospitals.
